I've Been Tagged By Kate

I've been tagged by Kate from K&G Bookclub! Kate lives in Charleston, SC and we "met" several months back through our blogs - only to recently discover that we know each other from Sarasota! It truly is a small world after all!

During the meal, conversation had been somewhat inhibited by the amount of food which required to be consumed, but now it picked up again.

Here are the rules:
1) Grab the nearest book to you.
2) Open it to page 56.
3) Find the 5th sentence.
4) Post the text of the next 2-5 sentences and these rules.
5) Pick the closest book (not your favorite, cool, or intellectual).
6) Now Tag 5 other bloggers!

I'm tagging:

Jane ~ All About Us

Gina ~ Purdy Wallcovering

Emily ~ Veganize This!

Lisa ~ Heart & Thistle

Rosie ~ Rosie Bakes a 'Peace' of Cake

Hi Amy, Since Kate already tagged me when she tagged you, and I did it on my blog I will do it here.

The Notebook by Sparks
"Have I changed much? She took another sip of Bourbon, feeling it warm her. She touched his hand as she answered. Not really. Not in the things I remember. You're older, of course, with more life behind you, but you've still got that same gleam in your eye. You still read poetry and float on rivers. And you've still got a gentleness that not even the war could take away.

I love this story. Thanks for playing. gina

I've been out of cyberspace for over a week. Sorry I didn't notice you tagged me! I'll play for sure! :)

Thanks G :-) Hope yours was also! That quote is very true. We were just talking about that last night. I know what I want to do with my forever life, but not my current. Will tell you about it next time I see you... which I hope is soon!
