Gratuitous Cat Post, With Some Gardening Thrown In

Here it is, it was bound to happen sooner or later: the gratuitous shot of Harry. When I'm not in the kitchen and the weather is nice, I love nothing more than to sit out by the pool, reading a book with a glass of wine, accompanied by my faithful companion. My curry plant is doing really well. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually looking forward to some of our humidity coming back, as when it's humid it carries the smell of the curry plant farther. James bought a huge rosemary for me in November. I'm keeping it in the lanai for the time being as we're still getting the odd burst of freezing cold weather, but once we get passed that, it will have a permanent place with my roses.

My curry plant is planted in the ground out the front of my house have just taken a look at it and it seems to be doing ok through the winter - it looks healthy but will have to wait til spring to see if i have stunted its growth

Gina, you're right - rosemary does smell happy. I've been using it a little too much and it isn't looking to well after the cold we've had. Might have to bring it inside.

Jane - Truer words have never been spoken of my dear Harry. The pool will still be here when you come over, with a good chance of there being sunshine, and we always have a supply of vino :-) Plus we could venture out into more exotic cocktails. Then there are always G&T's and Pimms! I just learnt to make Jamaican Jerk Pork Burgers last weekend, so there are BBQ's to be had too.

Hope your curry plant does well. I hear that the snow drops are starting to make an appearance, so does that mean spring is around the corner?
